Galactic Nailart inspired by @cutepolish

So here's my very own version of +cutepolish's Galactic nailart tutorial. I love her You Tube blog by the way and it's definitely a must see for Nailart fantards like me.

So basically I've realized I could do a bit of How To's here in my blog especially when it comes to how I do my nailart shenanigans --the cheapest way possible. No need for those pricey polishes and whatnots. In my opinion, it all ends up the same anyway. You just have to be very patient and extra artsy to get these things beautifully done.
I decided to use whatever I have in my polish kit. I have this whole set of Caronia nailpolish and here are some which I used for this particular design. Black Velvet, White Satin, Dare Frosted, Colorless, also Bobbie's The Big Bang! ( perfect for the glitter effect), an unused dishwashing sponge (cheaper than makeup sponge) and a dotting tool (but a toothpick will do.)

First is to make sure that your nailbeds are clean. I used this Orogold nail care set (Thanks to Ate Janet btw) to get rid of any unnecessary dirt and make my nails good as new before I put on some heavy nailpolish and nailart.

Now to protect my natural nailbeds, I put some natural polish first then afterwards I used the Caronia Black Velvet polish as my base. It should look like this...

Then use a sponge and dip the pointed part in Caronia White Satin polish.
I used a new dishwashing sponge and cut it in my desired shape, preferably smaller and then dabbed it on each of my nails to create the illusion of a "Nebula".
Afterwards, I dabbed some Caronia Dare frosted polish in the middle of my Nebula just by using the tip of the polish's brush and it should look something like this... (wait I just realized that I'm using mostly Caronia products so I guess I could use a lil help here. *coughs* Sponsor *coughs*. Lol

Yes I know it's quite messy at first because of the sponge that  I used but we'll deal with that later on. ;)

Now, top it off with The Big Bang! polish which will allow you to have small stars around the Nebula instantly.

Almost done! Next is to create a define drawing of a star using again the White Satin polish. But this time with the help of a dotting tool. Or if you don't have one, a toothpick will definitely do the trick!

Top if off with a colorless polish to seal the art. Clean the excess on each side  using a Q-tip and there you go, a galactic nailart for the whole world to see. :)

IDLE.

Why hello there white screen. I've been staring at you for almost 10 minutes now and I don't even know what to type here. But I have this strong urge of blogging today one way or another so lemme just talk about my almost two months of idle time. Not that interesting but something new for me definitely. You see, once you're already used to working your ass off at a young age, sooner or later you will feel that slacking off is not really your thing and you're kindda itching to always get something done. Sometimes I feel "useless" so instead I just put my energy on cleaning whatever mess I see around and just clean clean clean! Haha. I feel like I've awaken the sleeping O.C.-ness in me. I missed being the "on-the-go" type of girl. I missed the hustle and bustle outside and most of all I miss earning my very own moolaaahs!! But hey I couldn't deny that I'm loving every bits of time spent living like a couch potato. I mean seriously, setting hypocrisy aside, who wouldn't? I've done quite a lot ever since I quit my job of four years. I managed to blog a bit from time to time, attend celebrations (alleluya!!!), go to the beach, get my nails done as often as needed, and most especially sleep and wake up whenever I want!! Without even having to count the number of sleep that I'll get before I go to work. That kind of "freedom" is quite priceless for someone who got stuck in the BPO industry for quite some time, yeah?
Okay, so now I'm just waiting for my training schedule in Starbucks and I couldn't be any happier! It's like a dream come true. I've always wanted to be a part of their team and here I am, living the dream! Well, almost. Haha So I think I need to get myself ready for this whole new endeavor that I'm getting myself into. Not that I regret any of this but I'm just giving myself a heads up cos this is a whole new adventure for me. I'm quite pessimistic I know. Me? A "barista"? Bring it on! -A
