Hello Kuala Lumpur!

It's been almost two weeks now since I flew all the way from NAIA 3 to KLIA 2 with just 3 hour travel time and I'm still trying to get the hang of every little thing here. From the very common curry chicken etc. to their means of travel and stuff. My budding career in Malaysia is somehow off to a good start. Naks. The fact that I am considered of course a foreigner here comes with quite a lot of FYIs that needs to be understood. Wow, naks again sa "foreigner" part. Hehe. With high hopes of providing more for my loved ones and making sure that I made the right decision.
See some few months back, I got a phone call and was offered with a job opening here in KL as, yet again, a phone banker. Yes, it will pay higher than what I have usually been earning in the PH and the cost of living is way cheaper compared to Singapore (though I 'm not going to be a sore loser cos I gotta admit, I've once day dreamed of working in the fast-paced-corporate-world of SG back when we traveled there for leisure last year. Yepp.) I realized I'm not getting any younger so I thought "Maybe it's about time." Naks nanaman. Anyways...
I had to weigh so many things of course as this would definitely change my life. The thought of getting out of my comfort zone. This whole moving-to-another-country-goodluck-to-you-you-don't-even-know-how-to-friggin-cook dilemma. Leaving the people I utterly care about and just settle for video call or Facetime (so much for someone like me who's very much into meeting up with my girlfriends and whatnots). But looking on the brighter side of all the much needed adjustment, this is actually not just for myself but for the two of my most favorite people in the world --my Mama and Papa. :) Trust me, I've thought about all of these in my head for 100000x and this person close to my heart have been very supportive of my decisions so far. Which is why it was a bit easier than I expected.
So here I am, gradually making adjustments on a day-to-day basis. From their common food to their culture and a lot more to even mention on this blog post! I'm lucky I get to be good friends immediately with the same pinoy people who got hired under the same contract. We're currently waiting for our working pass to be approved which usually takes two weeks to be processed so that gives us more time to take a look around the city where we'll be spending most of our time (and money! lol). My very dear friend Janno from my HSBC days was the one who referred me to the same job where he's been at for almost a year now and he's also in charge of (of course) touring us around KL during his rest days. So yeah. Here are some of the photos I've had from my first few weeks in Malaysia "Truly Asia". Naks again and again. Hehe

On boarding moment wherein we're all glued to our phones and powerbanks while bidding our last minute Goodbyes and See You Soons to our loved ones. Nyaw.

Day 1. Good morning KL! :)

Impressive railway system tho.

My dear friend Janno visits us at the Hotel every chance he gets and even brings Malay delicacies!

                                                                                       Petronas Towers

I'm honestly at awe and undeniably mesmerized when I got the chance to see the Petronas Towers. Such a beauty. YASSSS. :)

On usual days.

My pretty housemates: Cha and Tara.

Our condo's swimming pool. Witwiw.

KL Tower ftw.

These chicken wings from Changkat Food Strip is to-die-for. No, seriously. I can't even.

So there, needless to say everything's looking good so far. I mean, we just moved in to our new place at Bistari Condo. I'm lucky to have very nice Pinay housemates. I get to eat and try many new things that I never thought I'd be brave enough to do (like taking a cab on my own in the middle of the night. IN ANOTHER COUNTRY!! Ya bish.) Adjustment ba? Easy peasy lemon squeazy.  Sometimes, I even feel like I used to be a chameleon in my past life. lol just saying. Kunwari pa-tough. Hahaha! Good night. PH and KL with love.:) - A
